What is going on with the team?
The Minnesota Vixen Women’s Football Club, Inc. is up and running! Although we are a new organization with a new direction, we
still plan on providing the same great opportunities for women althetes.
The team is operated by a management staff, which consists of community members, and players. All team decisions off the practice and game field are made by the staff, which discusses and decides on team issues.

How many games, against who? Where?
Our 2004 schedule began on July 31, 2004.
The Minnesota Vixen Women’s Football Club, Inc. was an affiliate member of the WPFL for the 2004 season. We played 6 games against teams in our division which include the Wisconsin Northern Ice, the Indiana Speed, & the Toledo Reign at Augsburg College, Central High School in St. Paul, and Farmington High School. The other 4 games were played agains other teams from the other divisions and conferences. We will begin our 2005 season on Saturday July 30 against the only other remaining original WPFL team the Houston Energy.

Ownership and Management?
In May 2004 our corporation was formed to continue to provide women althletes in the Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa area the opportunity to participate in
full-contact football. We filed with the State of Minnesota as The Minnesota Vixen Women’s Football Club, Inc. Our organization consists of people who are dedicated to creating positive
partnerships with the community and local businesses.
We are diligent in disassociating ourselves from any negative influences, past or present. It is our mission that the new team maintains a professional reputation and fulfills its goals of providing positive role models and athletic opportunities.

Practices: When? Where?
In 2005, the Minnesota Vixen Women’s Football Club, Inc. will practice at Lone Lake Park, Shady Oak Rd., Minnetonka just off Highway 62.
We practiced on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm and Saturdays from 9pm-12pm.

With no owner(s), how will the team fund itself?
It costs each player a fee to participate in the season, plus any necessary equipment purchases. Last year
the player’s fee was $750. This year the fee has been raised to $1000 to help cover additional expenses.
We are trying to keep the cost down, but the cost of operating a professional football team makes it difficult. The team covers all travel costs (Transportation, Lodging, & Post Game Dinner). Fund-raisers, individual and corporate sponsorships, merchandise sales and youth football clinics are all important tools in the Minnesota Vixen Women’s Football Club’s financial picture.
